Alicia, you started at Advanced Heat Treat Corp. (AHT) less than a year ago. Tell us about your background before that.
I've worked in accounts payable and finance positions for some well-known companies such as La-Z-Boy and Rocket Mortgage. I was also a senior administrative assistant for a local Monroe, Michigan bank. The combination of my finance and administrative experience has positioned me well for my new role at Advanced Heat Treat Corp.
How did you learn about AHT?
I initially came across the job posting on Indeed. I then Googled the company and found the company Facebook page and I was absolutely set on working here, before I even applied. The family dynamic completely drew me in, and I couldn't be happier I made the leap to AHT!

What were your first impressions of AHT?
Everyone was so welcoming & friendly from the first time I stepped into the building; it made it easy to become comfortable with everyone. If you know my boss (Chad Clark) and his sense of humor, you know that most days are spent with lots of laughter. (This isn't sucking up; he really is kind of funny.)
In what capacity do you interact with our customers?
I speak to customers daily from phone answering, as well as a lot of communication via email, regarding statements, invoicing and billing in general.
We hear you had a big life event happen in the past year. Do you mind telling us about that?
I am a newlywed! My husband Zachary and I had a very small, intimate ceremony this past New Year's Eve. November 8th of next year, we will be celebrating big with our family and friends at our dream venue, another ceremony and all!
How else do you like to spend your time outside of work?
Lots of family time! My weekends are almost always filled with an event, whether it be birthday and graduation parties, spending time at my dad's place on the lake, or just hanging around the house and backyard with my son, husband, and fur babies. On Sundays, we host family dinners at our house as well.

What is one thing people may not know about you?
I am absolutely deathly afraid of snakes. I don't care how big, small, or harmless it is, I don't even want to see it! If I watch a movie or commercial, hear on the radio, or someone mentions snakes, I will have a nightmare that night. No joke, it is a real fear!
What is one thing people may not know about Advanced Heat Treat Corp.?
AHT is very receptive to their employees and extremely family-oriented. I know that at anytime I can approach my boss or anyone within the HR team with any issues or concerns I have, and they take it seriously. The employees at AHT truly have your back, which is why it really feels like family here!
What advice/tip would you give our customers?
When you call into AHT, any of our locations could pick up. Knowing what location you're having service at helps with transferring your call quickly and efficiently.
Who is your role model or inspiration?
My dad! He raised me as a single father and did his absolute best! He is by far the hardest working person I know. Even my son hopes to be just like him when he grows up.
