Advanced Heat Treat Corp. (AHT) is proud to announce that all four of our facilities (both Waterloo, Iowa locations, Monroe, MI, and Cullman, AL ) have recently gone through the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949 automotive transition audit and have become IATF 16949 certified. IATF 16949 is the automotive Quality Management System developed by the “Big Three” automotive companies. It was recently updated from ISO/TS 16949 due to a change in the ISO 9001 Standard. The enhancements to this new standard are heavily focused on risk management, safety, and total productive maintenance. These changes will help AHT Corp. meet the needs of the automotive industry and continue to deliver a quality process, while minimizing risk and help us drive continuous improvement.
Nearly 38 years ago, the company started with just two ion nitriding units at one location and has grown to over 50 units across its four locations in Cullman, AL, Waterloo, IA and Monroe, MI. By solving wear, corrosion and abrasion problems with their UltraGlow® family of processes, the company has grown significantly and continues to invest in the future.
“We are excited to have successfully certified all four of our facilities to IATF 16949. Each and every employee at AHT works hard to ensure our customers’ parts are in good hands. We hope our customers take pride in the fact they send their parts to AHT.” Stated John Ludeman, Director of Metallurgy and Quality Excellence.
